INTERNATIONAL JOINT ACTIVITIES

Mobility Window

The mobility window is a structured mobility path within the study program and therefore represents a very specific period, often a semester, within which students have the opportunity to study abroad at a partner University. Mobility windows agreements differ from normal Erasmus flows because they are aimed at one or more specific study courses, with very specific educational objectives. Mobility windows can include a pre-established study plan at the outset, or a more flexible plan with the possibility for the student to choose all or part of the educational activities to follow.

The University of Padua promotes this type of mobility with various partner universities, in Europe, and around the world.

Currently, the Master of Food and Health has a cooperation agreement with Monash University (Australia) for 5 mobility places of six months each (February-July 2023).

BIP

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are Erasmus+ activities designed in partnership with other European Universities. Participants have the chance to learn and experiment with new colleagues and develop together innovative solutions to existing challenges and problems in the Food and Health sector.

In 2023, BIP is a 5-day in-person event held in Innsbruck at the "MCI The Entrepreneurial School - Department of Food Technology and Nutrition”, focused on the topic of “fermented food technology as a sustainable development solution”.

COIL

Collaborative Online International Learning programs connect students from different universities to delve deeper into a specific topic with an interdisciplinary approach. Through several seminars and workshops, participants acquire the knowledge and the tools to develop new strategies and solutions to the identified problems.

In the summer of 2023, the theme is the relationship between healthy food and individual wealth (Wealthy = Healthy?) and how we can support access to nutritious food even for low-income consumers.

The strategies will consider mega-trends like the evolution of A.I., the shift to non-animal food as well as the imbalance of global food production in providing balanced nutritional foods.
